Why PAPNG?
There was a need for a voice for mental health in Ghana.

Who is eligible to be a member of PAPNG?
All registered mental health nurses/ registered community psychiatric nurses.

Why only mental health nurses as a requirement to be a member of PAPNG?
Because we want to bring all mental health nurses together if possible and to ensure our social and economic rights are protected as well as propel mental health services in Ghana.

About dues-paying, what percentage is PAPNGs’?
PAPNG takes the lowest dues among the current dues by trade unions in the health sector.

How different is PAPNG from other mental health nurses groups in the health sector?
PAPNG is a registered association in Ghana and has a trade union certificate given it under the seal of the chief labour officer of Ghana. It is a recognized association per the laws of Ghana and has the mandate to protect the interest of its members.

Is it expected of nursing students (mental/psychiatry) to pay dues?
No, as a nursing student, you are not expected to pay dues.

Can any other cadre of nurses be a member of PAPNG?
The constitution of PAPNG targets only mental/psychiatric nurses.

Does one need to pay any other dues or money after the percentage dues stipulated in the constitution of PAPNG?
No, the only money you would have to contribute to PAPNG is the percentage dues only ascribed in the PAPNG constitution.
